Dr. Samir H. Dalwai was part of the faculty at the Golden Jubilee Chennai Pedicon 2026 — the 50th Annual State Conference of IAP TNSC and 40th South-Zone Conference — organised by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Chennai City Branch, held from 20th to 23rd August 2026 at the Chennai Trade Centre.
Dr.Dalwai described it as one of the most memorable academic engagements of recent times. This year’s theme, “Innovating Pediatric Care: Ensuring a Healthy Future,” shaped four days of thoughtful and engaging sessions. Being part of such a large gathering of pediatricians, all actively exchanging ideas on the road ahead for child healthcare, was, in his words, humbling in itself.
The calibre of participation, the questions raised, the discussions that followed, and the collective enthusiasm on display reaffirmed the importance of such platforms in shaping how the medical community responds to the growing needs of children and families across the country.

The conference was led by Dr. A. Somasundaram (Organising Convener), Dr. T.N. Manohar (Chief Organising Chairperson), Dr. P. Sudhakar (Chief Organising Secretary), and Dr. S. Subramanian (Chief Organising Treasurer), along with the entire Chennai City Branch team. Dr.Dalwai commended their tireless effort in putting together such a well-organised and meaningful conference, noting that bringing together such a large and engaged gathering of specialists is no small feat — made all the more special by the warmth and hospitality of the entire team.
